Security guidelines issued for Karachi’s tri-nation series and champions trophy matches
Cricket fans attending the Tri-Nation Series and Champions Trophy at NBS Karachi are urged to follow guidelines
With the upcoming Tri-Nation Series and Champions Trophy 2025 set to take place at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi, authorities have issued a comprehensive set of security and entry guidelines to ensure a smooth and safe experience for spectators.
DIG Security and Emergency Services Division, Dr Maqsood Ahmed Memon, outlined the arrangements, including designated parking at the nearby China Ground for general vehicles and motorcycles.
Only vehicles with VIP passes or special permits will be allowed inside the stadium premises.
For crowd management, only the main gate and gates 12, 13, and 14 will be open for spectators, while all other gates will remain closed. VIP vehicles or those with official stickers and passes will have exclusive entry through gate number 8. Gates will open three hours before match start time, allowing fans ample time for security checks.
Cricket enthusiasts must carry their original National Identity Cards (NICs) and a hard copy of their match ticket or match pass card for entry. Online tickets will not be accepted at the venue. Those who booked tickets digitally must collect physical copies from designated TCS centers before arriving at the stadium.
Strict security measures will be in place, with a ban on food, beverages, glass items, plastic bottles, intoxicating substances, firearms, toy guns, fireworks, cigarettes, lighters, women’s handbags, sharp objects, and any metal or wooden items. Security personnel will conduct thorough checks at entry points.
Additionally, vehicles with CNG cylinders will not be permitted inside the stadium premises, and the use of drone cameras has been strictly prohibited.
DIG Maqsood Ahmed Memon has urged spectators to cooperate with security officials and adhere to the traffic plan to avoid inconvenience. He assured that refreshments and food items would be available at designated stalls inside the stadium, ensuring fans can enjoy the matches comfortably while following the prescribed security measures.
