Two more kids die of measles in Shikarpur

Two more children died due to measles in village Habibkot area of Shikarpur taking the death toll to six during the last one month, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

Heirs of the deceased children said that the disease is spreading in the area speedily.

The dead children were later identified as Usman who was 4-year-old while Laraib Mehar was only 3.

The names of other dead children were Mohammad Husnain Brohi, Amina Aslam, Zeenab and Abdul Rahim.

Residents of the area complained that due to lack of medical facilities in the local government hospital most of the cases were being referred to Sukkur and Larkana.

They appealed the Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to take notice of alarming situation on priority basis. 

They said that despite our repeated requests no one reached in the area which showed that officials of health department willfully showing inefficiency and carelessness.

After recent deaths, the residents urged to people to adopt precautionary measures against the disease.
