Punjab Food Authority busts fake honey unit in Gujranwala
Punjab Food Authority (PFA) seized a huge quantity of fake and counterfeit honey during a raid on a manufacturing unit in Gujranwala, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
According to details, Deputy Director PFA received credible information about the production of counterfeit goods in a manufacturing unit located in Zahid Colony in the jurisdiction of Dhalay Police Station.
A PFA team was constituted, which conducted a raid on the manufacturing unit and recovered a huge quantity of fake honey, rose petals, fake mixture, 350 empty bottles, a stove, and other machinery.
A spokesman of PFA said that all the seized machinery was being used for the production of fake goods.
The spokesman further revealed that all the bottles were without any labels. He said that, as per the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz crackdown against fake and forged goods will continue across the province.
The spokesman said that no place is available for “food terrorists”. The spokesman advised the people to become food inspectors themselves and take action against the fake and counterfeit goods.
