Cotton price hiked by Rs1,000 to Rs21,000

The price of cotton has been increased by Rs1,000 to Rs21,000 per 40kg throughout the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Cotton Ginners Forum Chairman Ehsan-ul-Haq said that the cotton price had witnessed a Rs4,000 increase per 40kg in the last 10 days.
“There is an upward trend in the prices of cotton due to the increase in the value of cotton yarn and the dollar,” he added.
