CM Maryam directs early completion of new hospitals in Punjab


Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz directed an early completion of new hospitals in the province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
According to details, Pakistan’s first Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cancer Treatment and Research Centre will start operations during the current month.
Chief Minister also directed to make the Nawaz Sharif Cancer and Jinnah Institute of Cardiology operational on a priority basis.
She was also directed to appoint doctors and professional staff at the Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cancer Treatment and Research Centre.
The Chief Minister sought deadlines for the completion of Nawaz Sharif Cancer Hospital, Jinnah Hospital Lahore, and Nawaz Sharif Cardiology Institute in Sargodha.
Waiting area, mosque, and doctors' residences for patients at Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cancer Treatment Centre are already completed.
Interviews have already been conducted for 219 vacant posts. It was decided to again publish an advertisement for the appointment of the head of the Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cancer Treatment and Research Centre.
The Chief Minister fixed January 31, 2026 deadline for the start of the Jinnah Institute of Cardiology in Lahore.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif has been directed to complete construction work at Lady Wellington Hospital as soon as possible.
Every cancer patient coming from all over Pakistan will be treated at the Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cancer Treatment and Research Centre, Maryam Nawaz concluded as saying.
