Forensic report confirms presence of CM Afridi, others during Radio Pakistan attack
The report, prepared by the Punjab Forensic Science Laboratory at the request of Peshawar Police, analyzing the videos and audios of the May 9 incidents of violence in Peshawar, has confirmed that KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, Kamran Bangash, Taimoor Jhagra and Irfan Salim were present at the site of the riots on that day, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
The report has said that videos and audios analyzed by the laboratory had been sent to it by Peshawar’s Sharqi police station in a USB and that the laboratory analyzed all 16 videos stored in the device.
It has further said that in most of these videos there was nothing that could suggest they had been edited.
Furthermore, in some of the videos an increase in text and logos has been pointed out.
It is mentioned in the report that the video showing the KP CM was matched with his profile picture, and when that was done, it emerged that the video and the picture were of the same person.
Similarly, the videos showing Irfan Salim, Kamran Bangash and Taimoor Jhagra also matched with their profile pictures.
The report was compiled between December 19 and December 23, 2025.
