President Asif Ali Zardari summons national assembly session on January 12

President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, has summoned a session of the National Assembly on the Prime Minister’s advice, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday. 

According to an official notification, the session is scheduled for tomorrow (Monday) at 5:00 pm in the Parliament House.

The President has convened the meeting under the powers vested in him by Article 54, Clause 1 of the Constitution.

This will mark the 23rd sitting of the current National Assembly, where members are expected to discuss and deliberate on key legislative matters.
