An alleged police encounter in the Gairalo police station area of Larkana claimed the life of a most-wanted dacoit on Sunday, police said.

According to police, the deceased was identified as Kehar alias Kehu Jatoi, a proclaimed offender carrying a government-announced bounty of Rs2.5 million on his head.

Police claimed that the outlaw was killed by firing from his own accomplices during the encounter.
