Awais Leghari resigns as Punjab minister

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Awais Leghari Monday resigned as provincial minister just days before crucial by-elections in 20 constitutions of Punjab, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The provincial minister shared his resignation on his official Twitter handle.
He requested Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz to accept his resignation and said that he will continue to work in the best interest of Pakistan and PML-N.

Earlier, Provincial health minister Khawaja Salman Rafiq and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Sardar Ayayz Sadiq also resigned from their offices citing the personal reasons that latter turn out to help PML-N candidates winning the by-elections in four Lahore constituencies.
