Abducted book publisher’s body found from Lahore canal

The dead body of renowned publisher Rana Abdul Rahman was found from canal on Thursday after his alleged abduction yesterday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to police, as per the initial investigation, the incident appears to be a suicide.

Police said that abducted Abdul Rehman’s shoes, identity card and other items were found on the bank of the canal.

Bangla Satyana is the native area of the deceased and Rana Abdul Rahman himself went to his hometown Bangla Satyana, police said.

The case will be further investigated after postmortem of body, police said.

Police said that whether the incident is murder or suicide will be revealed after investigation.
