Google launches Veo 3 and flow in Pakistan to empower creative AI storytelling

Google has expanded the reach of its state-of-the-art Veo 3 video generation model and Flow filmmaking tool to Pakistan, offering local creators sophisticated AI-driven video capabilities.

Now included in Google AI Pro and Ultra subscriptions across more than 150 countries, including Pakistan, these tools enable users to effortlessly turn still photos into vivid, eight-second video clips complete with synced audio and cinematic flair.

The Veo 3 model, launched by Google DeepMind in May 2025, now supports fully integrated audio—spanning dialogue, ambient sounds, and effects—marking a major advancement over its predecessors, and bringing AI-generated visuals to life in new and immersive ways.

This expansion introduces a powerful new feature that transforms photos into vivid, eight-second videos with sound, opening new frontiers for content creators, artists, and digital storytellers in Pakistan. The tool allows users to upload a still image, describe the scene and audio elements, and watch as it morphs into a lively video clip.

Built on the foundation of the Veo 3 model, which debuted earlier this year, the tool has already seen over 40 million video creations globally in just seven weeks. Users around the world have used Veo 3 to animate fairy tales, produce ASMR-style content, and explore entirely new formats of storytelling.

How it works

To animate a photo using Veo 3, users simply click on "Videos" in the prompt menu, upload an image, and describe the desired scene and accompanying audio. Within moments, Google’s Gemini-powered AI brings the still image to life, creating a downloadable or shareable video.

The same feature is also being integrated into Flow, Google's AI-driven filmmaking tool. Flow now allows users to add speech, sound effects, and background audio to video clips. While audio generation remains in an experimental phase, it represents a major step toward end-to-end AI video production.

Google is also introducing “Frames to Video” on Veo 3 Fast, letting users generate clips quickly using their credits. These capabilities make it easier for creators — from solo artists to marketers — to develop compelling visual narratives without traditional video production tools.

Despite being limited to eight-second clips, Veo 3’s early success is undeniable. Over 40 million videos have been generated globally in just seven weeks, with creators exploring concepts from fairy tales to ASMR content.

However, experts have noted that higher subscription tiers—particularly the $249/month Google AI Ultra plan—are required to access the full suite, and some users cite occasional glitches with prompt adherence and spatial accuracy

Safety and transparency

To maintain responsible AI standards, Google ensures that all AI-generated videos carry visible watermarks and invisible SynthID digital markers to indicate their synthetic origin. The company also conducts extensive “red teaming” safety tests and enforces strict content policies to prevent misuse.

Users are encouraged to rate videos using thumbs-up or thumbs-down buttons, helping Google refine safety protocols and improve user experience continuously.
