Shahid Khaqan says Pakistan put in reverse gear
Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said on Friday that his party, Awam Pakistan, has presence across the country.
Speaking at the first foundation day of Awam Pakistan, Abbasi said that politics has become synonymous with hatred in Pakistan, but his party is talking about the people. He said that Awam Pakistan is spreading the message of national unity eradication of discrimination.
He said that governments were toppled in the past through political maneuverings and this practice is returning to the politics today. He said that Pakistan is in the reverse gear and there is no respect in politics. He asked the media person covering the event to name a single measure aimed at improving people’s lives in Pakistan.
Referring to education and healthcare systems in Pakistan, Abbasi said that billions and trillions of rupees were invested into these sectors. “Is there any improvement in these systems?” he asked. He said that new records of corruption have been set in Pakistan under the current rulers. He said that incumbent rulers are a bad omen for the country.
