Sindh CM Murad terms Sindh ‘Pakistan’s energy basket’

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Friday said that Sindh is “Pakistan’s energy basket”, reported 24News HD TV channel.
He expressed these views while addressing an energy conference in Karachi. The Chief Minister said that Thar is producing cheap electricity in the country.
Murad Ali Shah said that Nooriabad Power Company is providing 100 megawatt electricity to the national grid.
The Sindh Chief Minister said that 31 gigawatt electricity were produced during the last six years.
He said that the maximum electricity which was being produced by Thar is being used by Punjab.
Syed Murad Ali Shah said that 70 percent gas is being produced in the Sindh province.
