The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Friday issued notices to the seven candidates of the ruling party—the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) over the violation of the code of conduct in the local bodies’ elections in the Prime Minister’s Lower Dir rally.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the ECP has said in the notice to the PTI candidates for tehsil council elections that they are taking unfair advantage by using the government machinery.
The District Monitoring Officer has summoned the PTI candidate to appear before him for an explanation on March 14.
In the Lower Dir Rally, PTI backed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mehmood Khan announced several development schemes in the area.
