Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan Tuesday hosted an Iftar dinner at Governor House, Lahore, in honor of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) workers from the Punjab Executive, Lahore, and Sahiwal divisions.
The event was attended by a large number of party workers, reflecting the party’s grassroots strength in the province.
During the gathering, Governor Saleem Haider personally interacted with the workers, going table to table to shake hands and inquire about their well-being. “The Pakistan Peoples Party is the only political party that has consistently fought for the rights of the people,” the Governor remarked, highlighting PPP’s continued efforts toward reconciliation politics for national development and prosperity. He reassured party workers that they are the party’s real strength and should never feel alone in their struggles.
Governor Haider also praised President Asif Ali Zardari for his pivotal role in strengthening parliamentary democracy, while calling for dedicated efforts to make Bilawal Bhutto Zardari the next Prime Minister of Pakistan. He stressed the need for unity, good governance, and political stability to strengthen the country’s democratic system.
