The Pak-Iran border at Taftan-Mirjaveh has reopened after two months of closure.

According to an Iranian news agency, the Pakistan-Iran border crossing will remain open three days a week for trade activities. The border crossing will remain open for trade activities on Mondays, Wednesday and Saturdays from 8am to 2pm.

As many as 75 trucks arriving from Iran at the Pak-Iran border crossing have been allowed to enter Pakistan. Trucks and goods that have been stuck at the border crossing since March this year are being allowed to enter Pakistan on a priority basis.

Around 600 trucks loaded with various goods have been waiting at the border crossing to enter Pakistan for the last couple of months. The Pak-Iran border crossing was closed for all trade activities in March this year keeping in view the global coronavirus outbreak and a sudden outbreak of the pandemic in Iran.
