President Zardari says peace preferred but sovereignty non-negotiable

In a statement issued on Sunday, President Zardari remarked, “Pakistan does not seek provocation or hostility; we desire peace — but there will never be any compromise on our sovereignty.”

President Zardari also expressed deep gratitude to China, Saudi Arabia, the United States, Türkiye, and Iran for supporting Pakistan during the recent period of heightened tensions.

He said the support of these nations during a critical time proved the strength of Pakistan's international partnerships and diplomatic efforts for peace and stability.
