UN envoy praises Pakistan's efforts for peace in region
United Nations Secretary-General’s Personal Envoy Jean Arnault met Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and discussed the regional situation, according to the Foreign Office spokesperson.
The spokesperson said the UN representative appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts for peace and stability in the region. During the meeting, Jean Arnault conveyed the appreciation of the UN Secretary-General for Pakistan’s constructive role.
The Foreign Office spokesperson stated that Ishaq Dar briefed the UN envoy on Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic efforts and contacts aimed at promoting regional peace and stability.
During the meeting, Dar expressed gratitude to the UN Secretary-General for continued support and cooperation.
The foreign minister said Pakistan was playing a proactive role in promoting peace and stability in the region and reaffirmed the country’s commitment to diplomatic engagement and dialogue.
