Some unknown assailants opened fire on a real estate agent sitting outside his office injuring him critically who later succumbed to his wounds in a hospital in Paposh Nagar in Karachi on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Police said that the deceased belonged to some political party and he was targeted outside his office.

Reportedly, real estate agent Zubair Sultan (30) was sitting outside his office along with his friends near railway crossing in Paposh Nagar last night when some knowns persons opened fire at him, injuring him seriously. 

He was shifted to a hospital last night where he succumbed to his injuries today. 

The slain person was resident of Paposh Nagar 5C. 

Police after completing all the formalities handed over the body to the family. 

According to police, at the time of firing, people present on the venue started running away. An unidentified shooter came near to Zubair and solely took aim at him. 

Two bullets were fired in his belly. Police recovered five cases of NMM bullets. 

As per the initial investigation, the murder was result of personal enmity.

However, the slain was stated to be an office bearer of a political party.

The eyewitnesses are giving different accounts of the incident. Some were saying the assailants were riding a motorcycle, some claimed they were on foot. 

Police are trying to gather truth with the help of CCTV footages.
