Hema Malini and Esha Deol refute rumours about Dharmendra's death
Esha Deol has firmly denied reports claiming that her father, veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra, has passed away.
According to Indian media reports, she confirmed that the legendary star is alive, stable, and recovering under medical observation at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital.
In a brief statement, Esha urged fans and media outlets not to spread misinformation.
“Papa is doing well and responding positively to treatment. Please don’t believe any false news,” she said.
The 89-year-old actor, fondly known as the He-Man of Bollywood, was admitted to the hospital earlier this week due to age-related health concerns.
Family members, including wife Hema Malini and sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, have been visiting the hospital regularly.
Earlier in the day, several unverified reports falsely claimed that Dharmendra had passed away, leading to confusion among fans and fellow celebrities.
Esha’s clarification has now put an end to those rumours.
Dharmendra, whose illustrious career spans over six decades and more than 300 films, remains one of Indian cinema’s most cherished icons.
He is best known for his unforgettable roles in classics such as Sholay, Chupke Chupke, Phool Aur Patthar, Seeta Aur Geeta, and Yaadon Ki Baaraat.
What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and is recovering? This is being extremely disrespectful and irresponsible. Please give due respect to the family and its need for privacy.
