Punjab IG orders transfer, posting of 4 senior police officers

Punjab Police Inspector General (IG) Dr Usman Anwar on Tuesday issued orders for transfer and posting of four superintendents of police (SPs), according to an official notification.

Under the new orders, Akhtar Nawaz, who had been awaiting posting, has been appointed Additional SP Dolphin Squad, Lahore, on a vacant position. Similarly, Awais Ali Khan, also awaiting appointment, has been posted Additional SP City Division, Multan.

Muhammad Khan has been assigned the post of SP Security-II, Security Division, Lahore, while Khalid Mahmood Tabassum has been appointed SP Anti-Riot Management, Rawalpindi Region.

IGP Dr Usman Anwar has directed all newly appointed officers to immediately assume charge at their respective postings and ensure effective implementation of law and order measures in their jurisdictions.

Police sources said the transfers are part of routine administrative adjustments aimed at improving operational efficiency and public service delivery within the Punjab Police.
