The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Monday fixed the last signed petition of Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan in favour of young doctors for hearing tomorrow (Tuesday).
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the petition was filed by Islamabad High Court advocate Waqas Malik in the court and demanded the annulment of PMC's Conduct of Examination Regulation 2021.
Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan, the father of the Pakistan nuclear bomb, died at the age of 85 after being hospitalised with coronavirus. Dr Qadeer had directed advocate Waqas to file a petition for the rights of the young doctors and had also signed Waqas as a lawyer.
The petitioner pleaded that introducing a new test without giving due time to students would not be appropriate.
He stated instead of a commercial approach, the PMC should adopt merit-based promotion instead of a commercial approach.
The petitioner made the Federal government, Secretary Health, Secretary Home, PMC, Secretary Law and Justice and PMDC.
Islamabad High Court judge Justice Babar Sattar will hear the case tomorrow.
