A sweeper, posted at a government school in Sheikhupura, allegedly raped a fifth-grade girl at school, reporter 24News HD TV channel on Monday. 

The police registered a case and arrested the accused. According to a police spokesman, a fifth-grade student, 10-year-old, was taken to an abandoned room by the sweeper of the Government Girls High School Housing Colony and allegedly raped. The alleged culprit threatened serious consequences if she told anyone. 

The victim told her mother about the incident. The police registered a case on the complaint of the girl's mother and arrested the accused on the order of DPO Ahsan Saifullah. 

The victim was shifted to DHQ Hospital for medical examination.

DPO Sheikhupura Ahsan Saifullah said that strict action would be taken against the accused in accordance with the law and justice would be provided to the affected family.
