NDMA issues statistics of flood victims as 1717 dead, 12,867 injured

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Tuesday released its latest statistical report which showed all the damages caused by the flood, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the report, nine people have died in the last 24 hours around the country out of which three were men, five children and one woman adding up to a total of 1717 deceased from the 14th of June till date. On the other hand, the number of injured people has reached 12867.

The details given in the report convey that 779 people died in Sindh, 336 in Balochistan, 308 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 222 in Punjab, 48 in Azad Kashmir and 23 in Gilgit Baltistan.

The statistics say that out of the deceased, 733 were men, 345 were women and 639 were children. 

In the devastating situation, 84 districts were reportedly affected over the country, along with 436 bridges completely destroyed and 13115 kilometres of roads affected.

Eight hundred and six thousand houses were completely destroyed and 138159 houses were partially affected all over the country, said the NDMA report.

The cattle and farm animals affected by the flood reached an alarming number of 11,63,635.
