CM Naqvi visits project site of Gujranwala Motorway Link Road
Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Syed Mohsin Naqvi visited the site of 15.2 kilometers long road connecting Gujranwala with the motorway early Wednesday morning, and inspected the quality of work on the project, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
He met with the labourers working at the site since night, and commended them for their hard work.
He also appreciated the performance of FWO officers and members of their team.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that after the completion of the project it would take 45 minutes to travel from Gujranwala to Lahore.
He further said that Gujranwala would be linked to Lahore-Sialkot motorway through a double road that would connect Wahandu Inter-change with Benazir Chowk.
The CM informed that a commercial area would also be developed along the Link Road for the promotion of business activities in the area.
He said that all resources were being utilized for the timely completion of the project.
CM Naqvi tweets on his Gujrat visit
The chief minister, after returning from Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Hospital, Gujrat late Tuesday night, said he had just returned from the hospital.
He went on to say that unfortunately this visit to the hospital was yet another bitter experience he had.
“And since there were lot of complaints against the MS, I had no choice but to change him,” he added.
