PTI delegation meets JUI leadership to seek support for KP CM candidate

A delegation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) met with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) leaders on Saturday to seek their support for PTI’s nominee for CM, Muhammad Sohail Afridi, 24NewsHD TV reported. 

The PTI delegation, led by the party’s provincial president Junaid Akbar, included senior members Irfan Saleem and other key leaders. The meeting took place at the JUI’s provincial headquarters in Peshawar.

Representing the JUI, provincial general secretary Senator Maulana Atta-ul-Haq Darvesh, senior leader Maulana Jalil Jan, and other party members attended the meeting.

Both sides engaged in detailed discussions regarding the political situation in the province and the formation of the new government.

According to sources, PTI leaders formally requested JUI’s support for their candidate, Sohail Afridi, who is being considered a strong contender for the top provincial slot.

The talks were reportedly held in a cordial atmosphere, with both parties emphasizing the need for political stability and cooperation in the province.

The election for the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is expected to be highly competitive, as major political parties continue to hold consultations and negotiations to strengthen their positions within the provincial assembly.
