Saba Qamar calls for equal opportunities on International Day of the Girl

Saba Qamar has shared a heartfelt message to mark the International Day of the Girl, celebrated globally on October 11, emphasising the importance of education, empowerment, and equal opportunities for girls.

Taking to Instagram, the actress reflected on her journey as UNICEF Pakistan’s National Ambassador for Child Rights and Girls’ Empowerment, a role she assumed exactly a year ago.

“One year ago, on the International Day of the Girl, I took on a role that means the world to me – becoming National Ambassador for Child Rights and Girls’ Empowerment,” Saba wrote.

Accompanying her post was a carousel of photos showing the actress interacting with underprivileged girls, taking selfies, and engaging in heartfelt conversations during her UNICEF field visits.

Her expressions and gestures in the images underscored a deep sense of compassion and commitment toward her advocacy work.

“Over the past year, I’ve met incredible young girls whose confidence, strength, and dreams inspire me every day,” she added. “Each one reminds me why education and opportunity are every girl’s right, not a privilege.”

Saba’s words resonated strongly across social media, with fans and fellow celebrities praising her dedication to using her influence for a meaningful cause.

The actress, who has long been admired for portraying strong and independent women on screen, continues to echo the same message through her humanitarian efforts.

“On this special day, I want every girl to know that her dreams, voice, and future matter,” she stressed. “Let’s keep working together for a world where every girl can learn, lead, and live freely.”

Saba Qamar has previously been vocal about the need to challenge stereotypes and systemic barriers that hold girls back in Pakistan.

Her partnership with UNICEF has involved raising awareness about child marriage, gender inequality, and the right to quality education for all children.
