Mehwish Hayat gets sentimental as she bids farewell to Dayan
Mehwish Hayat said that her heart ‘is overflowing’ as her recent project Dayan came to an end.
Taking to her Instagram, she shared a carousel of photos and videos from the sets of Dayan with the fellow actors and the crew working on the drama.
Sharing an insight on the journey of the drama, she said, “As an artist, this project was one of the most exhilarating experiences of my career. Playing the complex character of Nihaal/Misha with all her shades, her pain, and her strength truly challenged me in ways I didn’t expect. There were nights I couldn’t sleep, days I lost my appetite after filming certain intense scenes because they moved me so deeply.”
She also shared the joy that she found during shooting. Hayat said, “At the same time, I also found immense joy in portraying the cathartic moments when Nihaal rises and transforms into Misha, when a mother becomes unstoppable in her love and fight for her child. For me, this story was about exploring the many layers of a woman’s heart, her vulnerability, her scars, her strength and ultimately her will to rise again. It’s an experience that will stay with me forever. ❤️”
She appreciated the producers of the hit, mentioning her return to screen after seven years saying, “A special thank you to the visionary producers Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi for giving me a role that allowed me to push my boundaries as an artist and making my return to television after 7 years such a memorable one. My time with 7th Sky was absolutely amazing! I’ll always be grateful for the way I was cared for & supported throughout this process.”
