LHC directs NAB to inform Maryam 10 days before arrest

The Lahore High Court (LHC) Monday disposed of pre-arrest bail plea of PMLN Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif and ordered to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to intimate Maryam Nawaz 10 days before her arrest if needed in Jati Umrah illegal land transfer case, reported 24newsHD TV channel.  

A two-member bench of LHC comprising Justice Sardar Mohammad Sarfraz Dogra and Justice Asjad Javed Gharal heard the pre-arrest bail application of the PMLN leader.

PMLN lawyer Azam Nazir Tarrar and NAB Special Prosecutor Syed Faisal Bukhari presented the case before. PMLN leaders Rana Sanaullah, Maryam Aurangzeb, Safdar Malik and workers were present on the occasion.

The court directed that NAB to inform Maryam Nawaz Sharif 10 days prior to her arrest if needed in the Jati Umrah illegal land transfer case.

Maryam Nawaz, talking to the media outside the LHC, said that NAB is a political engineering institution and works on the orders of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

“They were afraid of the long march and wanted to arrest me.

Maryam Nawaz gave heartfelt congratulations to the people of Daska on winning the NA-75 bye –poll. She said people guarded their vote from vote thieves.

“PML-N contested against the state machinery in Daska by-election as the government used all kinds of resources in the election,” claims Maryam Nawaz.
