Pakistan reports 58 more deaths; 4,584 new virus cases

The positivity ratio of coronavirus cases in Pakistan hits 10.29 percent as Pakistan reported 4,584 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours (Sunday), the latest data from the National Command and Control (NCOC) shows.

There were 58 more causalities related to the deadly disease as the death toll due to coronavirus has reached 15,501 that represents a ratio of 2.1%.

According to the latest figures, 4,584 new coronavirus cases emerged in the last 24 hours after conducting 44,514 tests. It takes the total cases tally to 725,602 that returned positive after conducting 10,779,474 total tests so far.

The number of active cases in the country is 75,266 with 4,201 patients in critical condition.

There were 3,135 more recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours as the number of total recovered cases reached 634,835 with an 87.5% recovery rate.

The coronavirus cases in Punjab have reached 250,459 with 39,511 active cases. In Punjab, 14 more patients died of coronavirus as the death toll reached 6,587. The death toll in the province reached 6,988 while 203,960 patients have recovered from the virus in Punjab so far.

The most affected province Sindh has recorded 269,126 so far with 6,792 cases still active. The death toll in Sindh reached 4,530 while 257,804 patients have recovered from the virus so far.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the number of coronavirus cases has reached 99,595 with 13,092 active cases. The death toll in KPK has reached 2,651 while 83,852 patients have been recovered to date.

In Balochistan, the number of coronavirus cases has reached 20,321 with 731 active cases. The death toll in Balochistan has reached 215 while 19,375 patients have been recovered to date.

In Islamabad, the number of coronavirus cases has reached 66,380 with 12,865 active cases. The death toll in Islamabad has reached 611 while 52,904 patients have been recovered to date.

In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the number of coronavirus cases has reached 14,594 with 2,170 active cases. The death toll in AJK has reached 403 while 12,021 patients have been recovered to date.

In Gilgit-Baltistan, the number of coronavirus cases has reached 5,127 with 105 active cases. The death toll in GB has reached 103 while 4,919 patients have been recovered to date.
