A major and a sepoy embraced martyrdom in a firefight with terrorists in South Waziristan district, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.

According to ISPR, 30-year-old Major Shujaat Hussain from Toba Tek Singh and 27-year-old Sepoy Imran Khan from Naseerabad embraced martyrdom in an exchange of firing with terrorists in Angoor Adda area of the KP district..

The security forces also killed two terrorists and recovered arms and ammunition. The dead were involved in terrorist attacks on the security forces. However, the clearance operation went on. 

Paying tribute to martyrs, ISPR reiterated the army's resolve to continue with the fight against terrorism,

“Such sacrifices of our brave officers and soldiers further strengthen our resolve, it added.
