Pakistan’s successful diplomacy in Gulf lands Narendra Modi in trouble

The US, Iran talks, brokered by Pakistan, have dropped a bombshell on India as the country’s opposition Congress party and others have slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his inaction, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

According to an Indian publication, Deccan Herald, senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh, in his post on X, has said that Pakistan’s role of a mediator in the US, Iran talks has raised serious questions over PM Modi’s brand of politics.

The politician, who is also a member of the Rajya Sabha, has asked how the US allowed Pakistan to mediate despite ‘Namaste Trump’ and ‘Phir aik bar Trump Sarkar’ campaigns launched by PM Modi.

Ramesh has pointed out that despite agreeing to a trade deal with the US, the Indian prime minister failed to derive political mileage out of that.

The Congress leader further asked as to why India failed to perform any role despite being the BRICS+ president.

Experts have said that the criticism being heaped on the Indian prime minister in the wake of a truce between the US and Iran, brokered by Pakistan, is a proof of the latter’s successful diplomacy, which has also exposed the failure of India’s foreign policy.

And that’s why, they have pointed out, PM Modi is facing lot of criticism.
