Upper parts to receive rains as westerly winds enter country today

Different parts of Pakistan are expected to receive another spell of torrential rains and snow until April 17 as westerly winds will enter the upper parts of the country today, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

According to an alert issued by the Met Office, under the impact of the system, heavy rains would lash Chitral, Dir, Swat, Mansehra, Abbottabad and other cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) during the aforementioned period, resulting in deluge in nullahs and streams and landslides.

The twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, Murree, Lahore, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Gujrat, and Sialkot, Mandi Bahauddin, Mianwali and different parts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) will also receive showers.

On the other hand, weather would remain hot and dry in Sindh and Balochistan as daytime temperatures would increase in days to come.
