Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has termed the designation of the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) as a global terrorist organisation a “major achievement”, noting that the group had declared its support for India during the Pakistan-India war.

Holding media talks after inaugurating the ‘Khan Bahadur Hassan Ali Effendi’ Family Park in Hyderabad, Bilawal said such organisations should also be declared terrorist entities through the United Nations.

Commenting on the 26th Constitutional Amendment, Bilawal acknowledged concerns arising from certain political parties’ personal compulsions.

However, he emphasised that ensuring equal representation of all provinces in the constitutional bench was a significant success of the amendment.

Turning to regional tensions, the PPP chairman criticised India’s threats to block Pakistan’s water supply in the aftermath of its defeat in war, calling the move a cowardly act.

He stated that Pakistan has raised the issue of suspending the Indus Waters Treaty at the global level, urging the nation to unite against Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Earlier, Bilawal inaugurated the ‘Khan Bahadur Hassan Ali Effendi’ Family Park on Hyderabad’s bypass road. The park, developed under the Urban Forest Plan, spans 14 acres and features the plantation of 5,000 trees and 10,000 saplings.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon, and other provincial ministers attended the inauguration ceremony.
