Sleep drives oil tanker driver to death in Nawabshah

A sleeping driver died when he drove his oil tanker which was filled with petrol into a canal in Nawabshah on Sunday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Reportedly, a driver of an oil tanker dozed off while driving. His vehicle turned turtle and fell into the Rain Canal near National Highway Qazi Ahmad.
The tanker which was carrying 50,000 liters of petrol was going to Lahore from Karachi.
Motorway police and rescue officials reached the place of the accident and indulged in rescue activities. They shifted the body of the driver to the hospital. However, heavy machinery was called to take out the oil tanker from the canal.
In another incident, a dead body of a man was recovered from Garden Shoe Market near Daulat Al-Quran Mosque in Karachi.
Separately, a man was killed in a traffic accident near Malir Press Club.
In Faisalabad, a motorcyclist was killed when a tractor-trolley hit his bike on Jhumra Sangla Road.
The 40-year-old man was going to his home in Kharyanwala when a speeding tractor-trolley rammed into his bike, killing him on the spot.
The driver of the trolley ran away from the scene.
