German Ambassador Gurnis calls on Aseefa Bhutto Zardari
German Ambassador to Pakistan Alfred Gurnis on Monday called on Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Aseefa Bhutto Zardari at Bilawal House in Karachi.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the German Abassdor discussed the matters of mutual interest especially the Germany’s cooperation in the anti-polio campaign in Pakistan with Aseefa Bhutto in the meeting.
The channel report said the meeting discussed Pakistan's potential in green energy and the importance of expanding the country's energy portfolio.
The importance of human resource development and German support for vocational training programs across Pakistan including ZABTech were also discussed in the meeting.
Asifa Bhutto praised the government and people of Germany for helping the people affected by the unusual rains and devastating floods in Pakistan, especially Sindh province.
The PPP leader said Germany always supported Pakistan and friendly relations between the two countries should be further expanded for mutual economic interests.
German Consul General in Karachi Dr Rüdiger Lotz and First Secretary Christian Boettcher also accompanied the German Ambassador.
Sindh Health Minister Dr Ezra Pechuho and Sindh Chief Minister's Adviser on Law and Sindh Government Spokesperson Murtaza Wahab were also present on this occasion.
