Bike installment business owner receives e-challans worth Rs2.388m
Selling motorcycles on installments gave a business owner in Lahore a nightmare as he received traffic challans worth Rs2.388 million issued in his name, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
According to report, 500 motorcycles are registered in the name of citizen Sadiq Khan and 2,071 challans have been sent to 500 motorcycles by the Safe City Authority for violating traffic rules.
Sadiq Khan is a resident of Garhi Shahu area of Lahore.
The actual story came to light when a traffic warden stopped a motorcycle with the number plate ACL-8179 at the Punjab University campus bridge, which was registered in the name of Sadiq Khan.
An e-challan of Rs12,000 was issued for the motorcycle stopped at the campus bridge.
Further investigation revealed that 500 motorcycles are registered in the name of Sadiq Khan and all challans have been issued in his name.
