Punjab Police team to take part in March 23 national parade

A matter of great honour for Punjab Police that, for the first time in its history, it is going to feature in the national parade held every year on March 23, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
DIG Training Salman Sultan Rana told 24News TV channel that around 400 jawans and officers of the Force, who will participate in the parade, have undergone 36-week training course.
An officer of the rank of SSP will be the commander of Punjab Police personnel in the parade while SPs and DSPs will also be part of the batch.
Rana said that a contingent of Punjab Police was due to participate in the national parade last year, but the event was cancelled due to the coronavirus.
He further said that IG Punjab Police had directed all jawans and officers to reach Islamabad on Sunday (February 14) where they will also have to participate in a pre-parade.
DIG Training Salman Sultan Rana hoped that the contingent of Punjab Police will put on a great show at the event.
