Senior doctor dies of coronavirus in Karachi
The former head of the surgeries department of the Jinnah hospital, Professor Asadullah, breathed his last at the same hospital, confirmed hospital’s director Dr Semi Jamali.
Dr Jamali said Professor Asadullah’s oxygen level had dropped to dangerously low after which he passed away. She paid rich tributes to the deceased for his services in the health sector.
Last month, Dr Saleh Soomro had lost his life to COVID-19 in Karachi.
Pakistan has recorded 33 more coronavirus-related deaths during the past 24 hours, taking the overall death toll to 12,218.
