Police officer martyred in Islamabad hot chase

A police officer was martyred while chasing fleeing accused in Islamabad on Saturday morning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The accused riding a car were making their escape good after opening fire on a citizen in Islamabad’s Bhara Kahu area; however, a police party led by Sub-Inspector Liaquat Ali intercepted them.
During the hot pursuit, the fleeing accused opened fire on the police party chasing them.
Resultantly, SI Liaquat Ali was killed in the exchange of fire, whose body has now been shifted to a hospital for post-mortem.
The police also arrested an accused who was injured in the cross-firing.
