Bahrain minister calls Mohsin Naqvi to condemn Islamabad blast
Strongly condemns Islamabad imambargah suicide attack
Bahrain’s Minister for Interior Rashid bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa on Thursday had a telephonic conversation with Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
He condemned the suicide blast at an imambargah in Islamabad in strongest possible terms and offered his condolences to the bereaved families.
He said that an attack on an imambargah was an attack on humanity. “I was really saddened to hear the news of the loss of lives in the incident,” he said, and added that Bahrain had always stood by Pakistan and would continue to stand by it. “Bahrain condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.”
Al-Khalifa said that Bahrain viewed the sacrifices given by the forces and the people of Pakistan against terrorism with respect.
Speaking on the occasion, Naqvi expressed his gratitude to his counterpart for showing solidarity with the affected people. “Bahrain has sided with Pakistan during testing times,” he said, adding that Pakistan had given great sacrifices to make the world a safe place to live in.
He, on the occasion, called upon the world to stand shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan in war against terrorism.
Naqvi said that the time had come to take effective and coordinated steps against terrorism on global level.
