Dar reviews arrangements for 9th OIC conference on women

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar on Thursday chaired a meeting to review arrangements for the 9th OIC Ministerial Conference on Women, scheduled to be held in Pakistan this year, the Foreign Office said in a statement.

According to Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi, the meeting reviewed the progress made so far and emphasized the need for timely coordination among all relevant departments to ensure successful arrangements for the conference.

Dar instructed all concerned ministries and stakeholders to finalize logistical arrangements and the conference theme in a coordinated manner, the spokesperson added.

The meeting was attended by Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazir Tarar, Foreign Secretary Amina Baloch and senior officials from various ministries. Secretaries of the Cabinet Division and Human Rights Division were also present.

The 9th OIC Ministerial Conference on Women is set to take place in Pakistan in 2026.
