Punjab govt launches ‘Talk to CM’ portal for youth engagement

In a first for the province, the Punjab government has launched a special digital portal enabling citizens—particularly youth—to convey their ideas directly to the chief minister.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz formally launched the “Talk to CM” portal at a digital ceremony. Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb gave a detailed briefing on the initiative, describing it as a unique platform created to ensure direct communication between the youth and the provincial leadership.

According to the briefing, separate sections and interfaces have been developed on the portal, including a dedicated interface for youth aged 20 and above. Through the platform, young people from across Punjab will be able to share their ideas, thoughts, feedback, and suggestions regarding the chief minister’s programmes and development projects.

Officials termed “Talk to CM” the first portal of its kind in Punjab’s history, aimed at strengthening participatory governance and youth engagement. During the briefing, it was announced that CM Maryam has declared 2026 as the “Year of Youth,” underscoring the government’s focus on empowering young people.

The portal allows youth to communicate directly with the chief minister and submit their ideas along with their names and brief personal information, creating what officials described as an open and structured channel for civic input.
