January 12, 2022 03:49 PM

PML-N President and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif has raised alarm as the wheat price has smashed the 74-year-old record in the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In a statement on Wednesday, Shehbaz Sharif remarked that the PTI government is breaking its record of incompetence every day.

The former Punjab chief minister maintained that Rs2,600 per maund price of wheat is tantamount to snatching poor man’s bread.

He predicted that inflation will rise to 13 percent in January. “The IMF is offering again talks but the government is bent upon slapping harsh conditionalities on the countrymen,” he added.

Shehbaz said dodging IMF’s talks offer demonstrates government’s ineffectiveness which has been a roadblock in Pakistan progress for the last three years.
