Major gas reserves discovered in North Waziristan

Mari Petroleum Limited has discovered major gas reserves during drilling of Shiva 2 well in North Waziristan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

According to the announcement, 0.607 million cubic feet of gas per day will be extracted from the Shiva 2 well.

Drilling of Shiva 2 well was started on June 2, 2023 and 4,577 meters of well has been drilled.

As per the press statement, the new discovery will improve the country's gas reserves.
