Sohail Afridi accuses Punjab, Sindh rulers of obstructing PTI rallies
Says nation stands with Imran Khan
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi on Sunday strongly criticised the Punjab and Sindh governments for what he termed the mistreatment of PTI supporters, 24NewsHD TV reported.
While addressing a large public gathering at Bagh-e-Jinnah, Karachi, Afridi said the Punjab government did not treat PTI fairly, adding that the Sindh government had also created obstacles for the party.
He announced that the next phase of the movement would head towards Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, vowing to spread former prime minister Imran Khan’s message across the country through a street movement.

Thanking the people of Sindh, particularly Karachi, Afridi said the massive turnout proved that the nation stood firmly with Imran Khan.
The kind of reception Chief Minister Sohail Afridi is getting outside his own province is something other parties’ chief ministers don’t even receive in their home provinces.

He praised Karachi’s residents for organising a successful rally despite a lack of facilities, accusing the Sindh government of placing hurdles that were removed by the public.
“Today, millions have proven that PTI is Karachi’s true representative party,” he claimed.

Afridi accused the Sindh government of disrespecting Sindhi cultural symbols such as the Sindhi cap and ajrak, warning that the people would not forgive what he described as injustices.
He alleged that the PPP, in collaboration with others, had altered the constitutional structure and established what he termed a “dictatorship” in Sindh.

The KP chief minister said the public was ready to march towards D-Chowk and was only awaiting Imran Khan’s call.
“We will not allow anyone to snatch our rights or keep the nation’s leader behind bars without justification,” he declared, adding that the alleged fascism witnessed in Sindh would always be remembered.
