Cold and foggy weather to continue across Pakistan

Cold and dry weather is expected across most parts of Pakistan tonight, with extremely cold conditions in hilly areas.

Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and adjoining regions are likely to remain partly cloudy with light rain or snowfall at isolated places, while moderate to heavy fog is forecast in the plains of Punjab, Upper Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Islamabad: Cold and dry conditions expected, with morning fog or haze in some areas.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Most districts will experience cold and dry weather; extremely cold conditions in the hilly regions. Moderate to heavy fog is expected in Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda, Swabi, Bannu, Karak, Lakki Marwat, D.I. Khan, and surrounding areas during the morning and night.

Punjab: Cold and dry in most districts; extremely cold in Murree, Galiat, and surrounding areas. Moderate to severe fog expected in cities including Sialkot, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, and others. Morning fog likely in some areas of the Potohar region.

Balochistan: Cold and dry across most districts; extremely cold in northern districts. Morning fog expected in Dera Bugti, Kohlu, Dera Murad Jamali, Jafarabad, Naseerabad, Jhal Magsi, Sibi, and surrounding areas.

Sindh: Cold and dry in most districts; moderate to heavy fog expected in Sukkur, Rohri, Shikarpur, Kashmore, Shaheed Benazirabad, Dadu, Larkana, Tando Jam, Mohenjo Daro, and nearby areas.

Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan: Cold and dry weather expected, with isolated light snowfall in higher altitudes.

Minimum Temperatures Recorded Today: Skardu minus 13°C, Leh and Astor minus 11°C, Gopis minus 9°C, Gilgit minus 8°C, Kalat and Kalam minus 6°C, Hunza minus 5°C, Parachinar minus 4°C.

Authorities have advised motorists and travelers to exercise caution due to heavy fog in several regions and extremely low temperatures in northern areas.
