Dacoits abduct, loot 23 police officers in Kashmore

A group of armed bandits has attacked a police van and abducted nearly two dozen under-training police officers and robbing them of their valuables in Kashmore late Sunday night, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

According to details, a police van carrying 23 under-training newly-appointed police officers was going to Larkana Training Center from Kashmore when suddenly the armed bandits attacked the vehicle.

All the policemen were residents of Kashmore.

Sources said that armed dacoits looted the policemen and escaped from the scene, taking some of the officers with them.

The sources further revealed that the kidnapped policemen later managed to escape in a bid to save themselves.

The policemen said that bandits snatched their mobile phones and other valuable items before fleeing.

The policemen said that they escaped after breaking the window of a house. Later, Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG) Larkana took notice of the incident. The policemen demanded that the DIG take measures to return their looted baggage.
