Digital education to be introduced in Punjab govt schools

In a major development to expand education, the Punjab government has decided to introduce digital education in all government schools of the province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to details, the Punjab cabinet approved the Goalwork Space for Productivity and Collaboration programme in this regard.

This programme will help students to avail the facility of the latest digital learning and collaboration tools.

The students through Google Workspace will have access to the facility of online classroom, e-mail, cloud storage, and document sharing.

The project will help students to explore their digital skills, research capabilities, and teamwork.

The connection between students and teachers will also become stronger. All Punjab government schools will implement the digital information vision.

Earlier in December 2025, the Punjab government decided to bring digital examination reforms in the education boards of the province.

The government is planning to introduce and implement a digital examination system in all examination boards.

Task Force Committee for Boards Chairman Muzammil Mahmood said important digital steps were being taken. These steps will provide transparency, accuracy and trust to the examination system.

BISE Lahore spokesperson Tahir Javed said system analysts and computer programmers had been instructed to attend this training.
