Lahore-Sialkot Motorway closed due to dense fog

The Lahore-Sialkot Motorway (M-11) has been temporarily closed from Kala Shah Kaku to Sambrial due to dense fog, authorities announced on Monday.

Syed Imran Ahmed, spokesperson for the Motorway Police, Central Region, said the closure has been implemented to protect the lives and properties of road users. He warned that lane violations in foggy conditions can lead to serious accidents and urged drivers to strictly follow lane discipline.

The Motorway Police advised commuters to prefer travelling during urban daytime, noting that safe travel hours during fog are between 10 am and 6 pm. Drivers were also instructed to use fog lights, avoid unnecessary travel, maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead, and refrain from speeding.
